Position Information:
Position Summary: The Director of Survivor Services (DOSS) is responsible for ensuring non-residential program activities are delivered effectively and timely, meets organizational objectives, and providing oversight and supervision to non-residential advocacy staff & interns, cross-programmatic collaboration, and trauma-informed direction and support. DOSS will represent SafeHouse Denver externally in partnership, community engagement, and training opportunities. Additionally, the DOSS will support and organize programmatic data collection and analysis, creating efficiencies in service delivery and management. This role will rotate with members of the leadership team as on-call executive manager for 24/7 residential services 1 week/month.

Additional compensation for Bilingual Spanish language proficiency.
Salary Range: $87,000 - $97,000 (commensurate with experience)

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Survivor Services Strategy & Program Design
- Lead the strategic development and evolution of survivor services in alignment with organizational priorities and survivor needs
- Identify service gaps, emerging trends, and opportunities for innovation within survivor programming
- Research and propose survivor-services–specific models, best practices, and program enhancements
- Partner with the CPO and Leadership Team to ensure survivor services align with cross-program strategy, capacity, and resource realities
2. Program Quality, Learning & Data-Informed Practice
- Support monthly program data collection and analysis in partnership with data leadership and managers
- Interpret survivor-services outcomes, trends, and qualitative feedback to inform program learning and improvement
- Translate data into practice guidance, program adjustments, and strategic recommendations
- Define survivor-services quality standards and indicators of effective practice
- Participate in program-level corrective planning, with implementation led by managers
3. Staff Leadership, Supervision & Professional Development
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, and leadership to:
- Counseling and Advocacy Center staff
- Interns / clinical interns supporting survivor services programs
- Utilize professional behavioral health license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LAC, PSY) to train staff, improve service provision and policies, support assessment of mental health and substance use needs for clients and potential clients
- Oversees hiring, onboarding, and offboarding of program staff
- Foster a culture of psychological safety, accountability, and professional growth.
- Define survivor-services competencies, learning priorities, and professional development needs
- Accountable for performance management and role clarity at the leadership level
- Supports as rotating on-call executive manager for 24/7 residential services 1 week/mo with leadership team
4. External Training, Partnerships & System Engagement
- Provide strategic oversight of external survivor-services–related trainings and educational partnerships
- Ensure external trainings and partnerships align with SafeHouse Denver’s mission, survivor-centered values, and practice standards
- Serve as a senior survivor-services representative in coordinated community response efforts and multidisciplinary systems
- Maintain strategic relationships with survivor-services partners, advocacy networks, and community collaborators
- Partner with the CPO, CEO, and Community Education leadership when survivor-services expertise is required in external engagements
5. Cross-Program Collaboration & Residential Support
- Collaborate with residential services leadership to promote alignment and continuity across residential and non-residential programs
- Provide consultation and strategic support to residential services as needed, particularly during periods of change, complexity, or service integration
- Contribute survivor-services expertise to cross-program planning, problem-solving, and service coordination
- Support shared understanding of survivor pathways across programs while respecting role boundaries
6. Equity, Trauma-Informed Practice & Values Alignment
- Ensure survivor services are grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and survivor-centered practice
- Assess how policies, practices, and service models impact marginalized survivor communities
- Support staff navigating emotional labor, ethical complexity, and vicarious trauma
- Model values-based leadership consistent with SafeHouse Denver’s mission and commitments to equity and inclusion
